Endorsement is a channel of brand communication in which a celebrity acts as the brand’s spokesperson and certifies the brand’s claim and position by extending his/her personality, popularity, status in society, or expertise in the field to the brand. In a market with a very high proliferation of local, regional and international brands, celebrity endorsement was traditionally thought to provide a distinct differentiation.

Endorsements are a large part of marketing.  We see famous faces on the ads and packaging from everything from bed sheets to cereal. And now, social media and influencers have taken it to another level. We are social creatures. We look at what the people around us are doing to get clues about what we should be doing. Endorsements are social proof of the usefulness of your Products or Services.

 It should be no surprise that endorsements are highly useful tools when marketing a product. Big brands use celebrity endorsements because it both promotes their products and increases a product’s conversion rate. More people get to know about the product, and those people are more likely to buy when something is endorsed by someone they respect.
